We've reached the end of our first week of school and so far, things have gone pretty smooth. Students are enjoying the new classrooms, new bathrooms, and also having lockers! The building is still being finalized with a few punch list items that are being worked on outside of school hours. Teachers and staff are being flexible with learning new traffic routes for students, dismissal procedures, and recess access. It will take a few tries to find what works best, but we ask that parents be cognizant and flexible with us as we figure out the safest and most efficient method. At some point, I will post pictures of the building in it's completed state, including students!
Thank you again for all of your prayers and support throughout this process and exciting time here at Trinity. Just because the building is done though, does not mean that we do not need anymore prayers or financial support. That is still needed as the Lord's work is ongoing! Stop by if you can to see the new building.

Progress is moving along quickly! Painting is almost completed, floor tile and carpeting is almost completed, ceiling panels are installed, and final inspections have been scheduled.
With these items scheduled, a date has been chosen for the dedication of the building on Sunday, August 21st @ 3:00. There will be a dinner provided following the dedication of the building and school staff. Please continue to pray for the contractors and their work, but also the transition that will take place in the following months. Hopefully we will see you on the 21st!

It has been awhile since we last posted an update on the school progress, so here is a quick snippet to what has been happening.
We are nearing the end! We have incurred some bumps in the past few months, but those have been fixed or are currently being ironed out. The ceiling grid is almost in, but is currently waiting for final inspections to take place. The bathrooms are nearing completion with most of the sinks, toilets, and partitions installed and wall tile completed. The whiteboards and bulletin boards were installed in the classrooms and projectors will be mounted in the coming weeks. Lighting, fire systems, and HVAC are all completed or are near completion with inspections already passed or will be inspected soon. The access points are here onsite and are awaiting the dust to settle to be installed.
The new office entrance had a hurdle to overcome, but has been remedied and the door frame is in and drywall to be installed in the next day or so. The majority of any work left to be completed would be floor tile and carpeting and some painting. The kitchen is almost completed with only the kitchen sink and appliances to be installed once the flooring is done.
Outside, the excavating for the playground has been completed with some minor adjustments to be made. Components for the border for the playground will be ordered in the next day or so as well. We are hoping to acquire a playground system from another site and are waiting for that situation and deal to play out. The preschool playground has some minor excavating to be completed and the fencing to be installed. The seeding of the grass is slotted to being in August when the heat of the summer has hopefully subsided.
Please continue to pray for the process overall including safety for the workers, inspections to go as planned, and the campaign to continue in a positive direction, of which it currently is doing. Also, look on the Facebook page or website in the future for information about dedication of the school building. Tentative dates have been set, but cannot be set for sure until we have keys in hand to our new building! To God be the Glory!

Well, the school year is finally completed! YAY!! Let the chaos begin! Wait...chaos? I thought that school is done for the summer? This chaos doesn't involve children, it involves drywall dust, paint, hammering, sawing, and a flurry of workers. Yes, crews will be starting Tuesday on the inside of the narthex, office space, new windows, and entrance to the school. To say the least, there will be a cloud in the building with the amount of work taking place. Please be mindful of the workers if visiting the school/church this next couple of weeks. Also, be aware that we are doing our best to keep everything clean and secure during this last portion of the process.
In the new wing, the lockers are installed and number labels almost completed. Painting is almost completed in the multipurpose room. Toilets and sinks will be installed beginning Tuesday along with partitions in the bathrooms as well. Whiteboards and bulletin boards were delivered on Thursday and will be installed on Tuesday too. All of the classroom cabinetry has been installed and the glue from the countertops is curing. Mr. Jacobson lucked out and has extra cabinets in the Kindergarten room! Every teacher's dream! Window sills were also cut, glued, and caulked. Everything is looking sharp! Projectors have been ordered and the wireless access points are in the works as well.
Exterior grading and excavation are completed and the playground location is now visible. Final landscaping and seeding are in the near future. The Playground Committee is deciding on final dimensions and the position and will be ordering playground components soon. Look at the school's Facebook page in the coming week or so for a GoFundMe link to the Playground Fundraiser. Share that link with as many "friends" as you can to get the word out so that we can complete the playground in its entirety before the school year begins.
As always, continue to pray for the process as we are in the homestretch. It has been a whirlwind of activity and work, but God's hand has been with us and the workers the entire time. Praise God from whom all blessings flow!

Progress in school is moving along! The ceiling grid has been installed in almost all rooms except for the Multipurpose room. The lobby entrance has been painted and is ready for the ceiling grid. Lockers are planned to be installed on Tuesday, which will really give the building a school feel. Wall tile in the Preschool/Kindergarten bathrooms has been completed along with the wall tile in the girl's bathroom. Whiteboards and bulletin boards have been ordered and should delivered and installed next Thursday/Friday too. It is getting much easier to envision what the final product will look like with all of these details being finished.
Outside, the roof caps were installed yesterday, which will help secure the roof from the high winds that frequent the location on a weekly basis. It's a comforting fact that the roof membrane is now secured. Excavators are working on finishing up grading for the playground and starting to spread out topsoil in preparation for seeding in June.
We look forward to seeing the completed building and we hope that you are as well. When we have a date chosen for the ribbon ceremony for the school, we hope that you are able to attend and help us celebrate and praise God for His work in our congregation and community.
