Not much work happening right now because we are in-between work points. The rooftop units have been installed and now we are waiting on the gas lines to be hooked up. In the downtime, the 5/6th grade class took a mini field trip into the new school to learn about what is what, why it was designed the way it was, how they construct parts of it, etc. It was an educational and motivational conversation. One of the questions they asked was, "Will we get to be in here at all?" I said yes for a variety of situations, just not for class. I reminded them that the next phase of classrooms and the gymnasium would be dependent upon the success of the current campaign and the success of the completion of another campaign to pay off this facility. They were optimistic, but there was one response that sticks out..."God can do anything!"
Right there is the reason why we are doing what we are doing. The kids have faith that with trust in God, anything can be achieved. God will provide the funds by working on the hearts of those who believe in and value Christian education. There is so much that people can do help support our campaign to pay off this facility, fund our new playground, and start planning for the next phase of our upper grade classrooms and gymnasium. Continue to pray for our campaign, for those that will hear about our school and campaign, and for the kids who are examples of the purpose of our school.
There they are. A group that understands the true mission of our school. Although they won't go to class inside of it, they are very much in support of building a new school for future kids!
